Technician Class Exam Pool Review
To be granted a Technician Class Amateur Radio License, you must pass the Element 2 examination. The Element 2 Exam consists of 35 questions selected randomly from a pool of about 500 questions. Element 2 is broken down into 10 subelements T0 to T9 which cover different aspects of Amateur Radio skills. Within each subelement, there are groups of question. One question is drawn from each group. Therefore, there are 35 groups of questions. The number of questions within each subelement varies, because some aspect of Amateur Radio are considered more important for proper operations once you obtain your license.

Subelement T2 - Methods of Communication (2 questions)
Subelement T3 - Radio Phenomena (2 questions)
Subelement T4 - Station Licensee Duties(3 questions)
Subelement T5 - Control Operator Duties (3 questions)
Subelement T6 - Good Operating Practices (3 questions)
Subelement T7 - Basic Communications Electronics (3 questions)
Subelement T8 - Good Engineering Practice (6 questions)
Subelement T9 - Special Operations (2 questions)
Subelement T0 - Electrical, Antenna Structure and RF Safety Practices (6 questions)
